Photo-campaign "Riga for Erasmus students"

During my 2nd year at the University of Latvia we got an assignment in marketing course, the idea was to create a photo-story as a marketing tool. The main objective of the photo campaign was to attract the attention and create an image of Riga as an Erasmus-friendly city, and the target audience were students from all over the world.

Our creative message was to show two particularly different types of students - as introverts and extroverts, as party animals and bookworms, as hipsters and classic lovers.

In two weeks, being a group of two creative youngsters, we have shot material in 15 different locations, using only a camera and a tripod.



After being posted on a private Facebook profile, the campaign reached around 170 unique impressions, 15 shares and 43 comments without any paid promotions. Moreover, course lecturer asked the permission to present our marketing campaign in USA, at the University of Montana.

As a first experience of campaign-creating, I personally found this project really fascinating, and providing such a good example of a power of feedback on social media.
